The iPhone Gen 1 and the iPhone 2G are the same phone. People just use two different terms for them.

Great disassembly vid. Very clear and consice. I had 2g 16Gb Iphone with a dead digitzer (only the bottom half worked). Just followed each step and was able to fix it myself with a newly bought digitizer and LCD screen.
